Ephesians 2:1-10

In that big book that God wrote for us - no wait, maybe I'm talking about real life, well anyway, real life is close enough - there are dead people walking. They died because they killed themselves, or wait, did they die because they were too sinful? In any case, they were alive - as in, in that dead state they were in, kind of like zombies - buzzing around in that thin, sticky, addictive, air they breath. It's that spirit that makes them feel alive, a walking dead. In the book, which is suspiciously like real life, perhaps it's a non-fiction book, these zombie type people were us, gratifying the cravings of our flesh, drowning in the cravings of our desires and thoughts.

And then God, the protagonist in this book, saves us, the walking dead, with His superpowers of mercy, grace and love with Christ. Potent stuff. Then He picked us up, dusted us, and seated us with Christ in the heavenly realms. He did all this so that we would be so impressed with what He's done for us so that we would tell all the other walking dead - to tell them of the immeasurable kindness shown to us, and to talk endlessly about His mercy, grace and love, because these are His cool superpowers and deserve boasting of its own.
