Damn you Iced Caps

Can't sleep. Had too much caffeine. Work early in the morning.

Ever wonder why some people are in your life? Recently, a friend I've known for years has become a dearer friend to me because I just realized we've been through a lot of the same experiences. I told her everything since she can give me the right advice that needs to be done.

But saying it is easy, actually doing it isn't. Especially if you hate confrontations like I do. There are a lot of things that needs to be fixed because of my fear of confrontations. (Or is it simply laziness?)

Piss Off

Ugh.

There is nothing in this world that gets my blood boiling other than my family.
It's like when these things happen, when they start yelling and harassing each other, slamming doors, running away, not understanding or listening, it pisses the hell out of me. That's when I'm the most pissed off and I just want to slam their heads together.

Wish they'd just get a divorce already, it's almost been ten years since they've been talking about it. I mean, my mom ALREADY has her own house.

If I had a magic button and every time I pressed it something would happen, it'd be to have better parents. Sounds like something a little kid would say, but it's for the sake of my sanity.

Why I want summer to never end:

This is the first time in a while I'm not looking forward to the start of another school year. Perhaps it's because I'm not even done summer school yet, or that I want to hurry up and graduate already since I'm sick of school, but here is a more extensive list of why I want summer to never end:

1) When winter comes, I have to wear socks again. I hate wearing socks.

2) Despite spending several weekends outdoors and dedicating a couple of afternoons tanning in my backyard, I'm still pale.

3) The beach freezes up in the winter = no more volleyball = no exercise. I've been pretty active lately, all thanks to a couple of sessions of volleyball, extensively walking around and paper lifting at work, that I've actually gained a couple of muscle pounds.

4) My bank account will be empty. I've literally penny pinched all summer (i.e. no Tim Hortons Iced Caps =( ) just to save up for tuition, and come September my bank account will be no more.

5) I have to wear pants again! I've got nothing against pants, unlike socks, but I've been very comfortable wearing shorts. Actually, I've somewhat enjoyed this hot, humid weather. I think my body temperature is different from everyone else's, I've been ok while everyone around me is melting.

6) No more free time to do absolutely nothing. Like today, I got up, studied for my exam, napped whenever I wanted, ate whatever I wanted, watched a drama just because ... basically being absolutely unproductive. You don't get to do that during the school year.

7) When classes start up again, life will be complicated once more.

Anyway, that's my list. One thing I wanted to add but might regret later on is the amount of crazy shifts I've been getting at work. And I gots a raise! Not sure how much, watch it only be $.25, but it's still something.

Also, random fact but, I've noticed that my nails have been growing at an alarmingly fast rate recently. Seriously. I'm going to have to Dr. Google this.

Fickle

I've been feeling so fickle lately, I don't know why.
Something is off ...

Last Saturday, I went to Wonderland and the weather was very fickle. It kept raining on and off, so we kept taking our umbrellas out, and we were constantly wet and dry. But we still had a good time, because whenever we would go on a ride it'd suddenly rain and we'd get soaked, making it all the better.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is, even though I've been fickle and off lately, just like the weather last Saturday was fickle, it's not always a bad thing and you can end up having a surprisingly good time.

At least, I think.

(But come to think about it, being with a fickle person is annoying.)

Work Zombie

I am feeling dead like a work zombie. By some stroke of luck, I have been getting a lot of extra hours lately but I'm left feeling extremely exhausted, and not to mention extremely unaccomplished since it's not like I do anything productive at work :/ (Maybe it's the unproductiveness that's making me tired?)

Friendships

I didn't realize how much I missed Leo until I had a problem I wanted to share with him. I could always email him, but having a one sided conversation through an email kinda ... blows.

So today I went out for eat all you can sushi with Khadija, Carol and Alice and had a great time just talking about random things, aside from eating a lot. Afterwards, we burned some calories by walking around the mall and trying on different shoes that we'll never buy.

I don't usually see Khadija or Alice often, but even so, we remain friends after so many years after high school because we keep up with the friendship. This got me thinking, since lately I've been trying to be friends, or rather, be better acquaintances with, for the lack of better words, 'the wrong people.'

Wrong in the sense that, nothing really happens to keep the friendship rolling. Which is ok. Not all friendships are meant to be.

Yeah, just a little thought.
