Why is it

that things always fall on my lap when I least expect it?

I'm not complaining, it's kind of nice. Almost like a surprise. Still, I wish I had been given a warning so that I wouldn't have wasted so much time worrying about things never being right.

Ran into the right person but did the wrong thing

I made this blog because I got an email asking me to view Chocolate Lamp's blog. That's it. I never wanted to post anything. I never even wanted a blog because whenever I have a blog I obsess over it and I get caught up talking about myself.

Then I thought the blog seemed lonely so I wrote Hi. Then I wanted to express my feelings indirectly, so I wrote Origin of Love.

And now ...  Let's just say today I ran into an old bowl of noodle that I haven't finished. It's cold, stale, and the reason I abandoned it was because I thought that if I ate the whole thing I'd get fat, or that I'd want more after I ate it and would consequently get addicted.

So I ran into this old noodle bowl. It's waddling down the sidewalk, cold soup spilling out on the side. And a hunger pang hits me: this old noodle bowl tasted good and I should have finished it. Now it's cold, stale, and reheating it would kill the original flavour. Not to mention the fact that it probably hates me for not finishing it in it's prime in the first place.

So I let the old noodle bowl walk pass me and I regret not saying hi at least.

Moral of this story: Always finish your food. =(

Origin of Love

For my future Noodle Bowl,

Whoever you maybe,
Whether You're Pho,
From Congee Wong,
Or my kitchen,
A pack of instant noodles maybe,

We haven't met yet,
But I realized tonight,
That I already have expectations,
Of what you'll taste like,
Smell like,
Be like.

I already have plans for that first bite,
The chopstick in my fingers,
Noodles sliding in my mouth.
That soup.
That meat.
That whole package.
That Bok Choy,

But wait.
I'm getting too ahead.
I shouldn't have plans because,
What if you disappoint?
What if you're too watery?
Not enough MSG?
What if my taste-buds hate you,
Then I'll hate you too.
